TWO UNIVERSES, A SHARED VISION OF DESIGN

FOB PARIS and Jean-Michel Wilmotte, internationally renowned French architect and designer, share the same high standards: creating meaningful objects where aesthetics and technology come together. This collaboration gave rise to the AIR-w—a watch sculpted from titanium, at the crossroads of architecture and watchmaking.

SUPPORTING YOUNG FRENCH CREATORS

Jean-Michel Wilmotte, a fervent supporter of young French designers, chose FOB PARIS to create his first watch. Through this collaboration, we have combined watchmaking expertise with an architectural approach to create a watch that embodies minimalism and modernity.

A FOB WATCH BY JEAN-MICHEL WILMOTTE

Where architecture comes to life through light and space, the AIR-w watch stands out for its exceptional finish. The case, carved from a raw block of titanium, reveals a metal that is both robust and lightweight, symbolizing strength and modernity. Extremely lightweight, the titanium is crafted with artisanal precision, transforming the AIR-w into a design object.

FROM IDEA TO OBJECT, A QUEST FOR PERFECTION

The result of three years of collaboration, the AIR-w watch represents a major technical challenge. Our team of designers and watch engineers worked alongside a team of microtechnology researchers based in Besançon, the heart of French watchmaking. From the initial concept to the final assembly, every step of the process is subject to exacting standards of precision and quality. A tribute to France's watchmaking heritage, with an eye to the future.

ARCHITECT'S VOCABULARY

Like Jean-Michel Wilmotte's architectural works, the watch reveals precise geometric shapes and a functional structure. Unveiling the skeleton. Hollow joints. Contrasting materials. All these details reflect Wilmotte's architectural language.

WATCHMAKING EXPLORATION BY FOB PARIS

The result of a complex development process, this unique design stems from a desire to combine bold construction with unprecedented curves. It establishes a subtle bridge between contemporary architecture and watchmaking. For a feeling of lightness, the AIR-w watch does not feature a conventional bezel; circular and horizontal hollow joints give the piece a sculptural and sophisticated look. This refined design is enhanced by an anthracite 11 ½" Swiss skeleton automatic movement, the perfect match for the raw titanium of the case.

A SERIES OF 333 PIECES

Designed as a collector's item, the first series of the AIR-w watch by Wilmotte will be produced in a limited edition of 333 numbered pieces. Choose your number now.

AN AWARD-WINNING WATCH

Designing the AIR-w was a technical challenge and an affirmation of our avant-garde vision of watchmaking. This boldness was rewarded in 2024 with the BPI's French Tech Award and the French Watch Award, recognizing our ability to combine innovation, expertise, and design. More than just a watch, it is an award-winning piece that pushes the boundaries of contemporary watchmaking.
